He went 2-for-2 with a homer and two walks in his first rehab game and may only need a few more at-bats before returning to the Red Sox lineup, potentially later this week when the team travels to New York after their series in Miami. The 22-year-old outfielder has been out of action since May 4 with a partially torn tendon in his finger. The imaging revealed a fractured left hand, with manager Dave Roberts reporting Pages would miss about 4-5 weeks. The team placed him on the 10-day injured list as he underwent a minor surgical procedure on his fractured left hand. The goal is to have him back for the start of the postseason. In the meantime, the Dodgers recalled Alek Thomas to fill Pages’ spot on the active roster. Meanwhile, the team could be getting some help by way of Will Smith, as the 31-year-old backstop was cleared to begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Smith has been out since the middle of June with a neck injury and would hopefully just need a handful of games before he’s back in the Dodgers lineup.Bryce Miller (lat)Bryan Woo (shoulder)After giving up seven runs against the Cubs on Sunday, Miller admitted on Monday that he has been pitching through a lat issue for about a month, stating the problem crept up on him in Texas about a month ago. He’s given up at least four runs in all but one of his six starts since, for a 7.92 ERA in that span. He’s unstartable in fantasy right now, even if he avoids the injured list.
