Monaco striker Folarin Balogun fails Everton medicalAS Monaco striker Folarin Balogun (25) has failed a medical with Premier League side Everton FC, according to RMC Sport. This development puts the USMNT centre-forward’s €50m move to the Toffees in serious jeopardy. The Principality side and the Liverpool-based outfit initially reached an agreement for the transfer of the former Arsenal Academy graduate but, as L’Equipe reported earlier, the deal is on the verge of collapse. Barring any unexpected Deadline Day twist, Balogun won’t make the switch to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.AS Monaco head coach Filipe Luis recently explained that Balogun played through the FIFA World Cup with a minor injury, and that the player is continuing his recovery. Fabrizio Romanoadds that Everton’s medical staff doesn’t believe that Balogun is 100% fit. However, AS Monaco and the player’s entourage insists that the New York City-born goalscorer is ready to play. The former Arsenal striker has been with Monaco for three years and remains under contract until 2028. He has made 91 appearances for the club, scoring 31 goals.GFFN | Bastien Cheval
