   ​After taking a break for the long holiday weekend, the Moneyball Pro-Am resumed action this week with a full slate of exciting games and late-game drama. Tuesday, July 7 brought two of three games to a thrilling finish, including a last-second heroics from MSU’s Jeremy Fears. In the opener, Team Tri-Star, featuring Coen Carr and Jesse McCulloch, edged Team Motorcars, led by Carlos Medlock and Anton Bonke, 102-101 on a hook shot as time expired. The drama continued in the second game when Fears drilled a buzzer-beater three for Team LAFCU, teaming with Ethan Taylor, to secure a 79-76 victory over Team SPS, which included Jordan Scott and Julius Avent. The third contest of the day ended in a rout, as Team Faygo, anchored by Jasiah Jervis and Cam Ward, demolished Team BLT, 100-76.
Thursday, July 9 delivered another day of late-game suspense. In the opening clash, Team Faygo narrowly held off Team LAFCU, 83-82, after LAFCU’s game-winning shot at the buzzer missed its mark; Jasiah Jervis led Faygo with 27 points in the win. In Game 2, Team Motorcars defeated Team BLT, 77-68, with Carlos Medlock Jr. pouring in 25 points while Kaleb Glenn topped all players with 37 points for BLT. The night’s action culminated in an instant classic: Team Tri-Star defeated Team SPS in double overtime, 110-107, marking another late-night triumph for Tri-Star in this season’s tight competition.
