Mother of Suns’ Miles Bridges’ children charged with assault, report says

By admin — In News — July 10, 2026

Mychelle Johnson, who is the mother of Miles Bridges’ children, has been accused of assault and battery against the Suns forward, according to TMZ on July 10. Johnson faces a misdemeanor charge in North Carolina for allegedly throwing water at Bridges in front of their children during a custody exchange on June 22, TMZ reports. The outlet says it obtained these details from legal documents in which Bridges purportedly stated that Johnson told him she would throw water on him if they argued again. In the documents, Bridges says he is “scared for my kids’ safety.” TMZ notes that Bridges was granted a temporary restraining order against Johnson earlier this year after claiming she engaged in “cyberstalking” him and appeared at one of his games in an attempt to interfere with his car.
Johnson has denied the allegations, according to TMZ. Bridges contends that Johnson has been orchestrating a “deliberate campaign of terror” aimed at ruining his life, TMZ adds.
The Suns’ trade for Bridges became public on June 28, when league sources told The Arizona Republic that the team sent Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale, and an unprotected 2033 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Bridges, a 2029 first-round pick, and a 2027 second-round pick. As of now, the trade has not been finalized. Bridges, 28, previously faced a domestic violence incident involving the mother of his children, which led to a 30-game suspension without pay from the NBA in April 2023. He was initially charged with three felonies related to that incident; Bridges pleaded no contest to a felony charge of injuring a child’s parent and received three years of probation with no jail time. The other two felony charges were dropped. Because of the outcome, the NBA counted 20 games of the suspension as already served, causing him to miss the entire 2022-23 season.
