Nebraska cornerback Andrew Marshall was named a first-team midseason All-American by On3. The announcement came earlier this week.Marshall has been an absolutely dynamic corner for the Huskers. He has been targeted 27 times over 10 games and allowed just eight catches. He has also recorded four pass breakups and an interception. The Idaho transfer was thought to be a major addition when the program picked him up from the transfer portal two seasons ago. He has been that and more.Marshall has long been a key piece of the Huskers’ secondary. His rangy athleticism and blanket coverage are two major parts of his game, and they have held up well against elite Big Ten wide receivers.Marshall will undoubtedly be needed as the Huskers take on a remaining schedule that includes Ohio State and Iowa, among others. Nebraska will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 31 when the Huskers host the Washington Huskies for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff.
