Nebraska outfielder signs MLB deal with San Diego Padres

   ​Nebraska outfielder Mac Moyer signed with the San Diego Padres as an undrafted free agent.Moyer appeared in 60 games, starting 57 of them in center field. He hit .353 with 13 doubles, four home runs, two triples, 38 RBI, scoring 65 runs and tallying 27 multi-hit games.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHe also proved to be a steady fielder, recording a 1.000 fielding percentage last year. He was selected to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team for his efforts.Moyer becomes part of a successful couple of days for the program.  Ty Horn and Carson Jasa were drafted by the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs, respectively.In the meantime, Dylan Carey and Zach Bates were signed by the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers.
