There is a lot happening lately in the life of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. He is now a new father, Buffalo has a new head coach, and the Bills are preparing to unveil a new stadium this season. Allen and his wife, actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld, welcomed their first child, Harper, in April. “I love being a dad,” Allen recently told PEOPLE. Like many babies, Harper has influenced her father’s sleep schedule. “Now, if I’m not in bed by 10, it means we’re probably doing something wrong,” Allen joked. “So, the baby goes down at a certain time and my wife and I are right after her, just making sure that we can get as much sleep as we can.”
On the field, the Bills made notable changes this offseason. They promoted former offensive coordinator Joe Brady to head coach in January, and they are set to debut the new Highmark Stadium this season, a $2.2 billion project. The franchise is hoping these changes yield better results after being ousted in the divisional round of last year’s playoffs. Buffalo also carries a long, storied Super Bowl history, having reached the championship game four times but coming up short each time.

Allen has acknowledged the significance of the team’s transition. “We’ve obviously got a new head coach, and to be making memories in a new place,” he said. “I think change is necessary sometimes, especially when we’ve been close in the past, going back roughly 20, 30 years, just how close the Bills have been to winning a Super Bowl. I believe this is a switch that was needed, and I’m very excited.”
The 2024 NFL MVP and the Bills begin preparations for training camp later this month. Rookies report on July 21, with veterans set to arrive on July 28. Allen remains a strong candidate for MVP this season. Beyond football, he has found a personal victory in diaper-changing skills, claiming he’s “an 11 out of 10” in that arena, with a humorous nod to avoiding any blowouts. “MVP quarterback and MVP diaper changer,” he quipped.
