The San Francisco 49ers were back on the practice fields at their SAP Performance Facility on Tuesday, but they were without one of their top players.According to those on the scene, wide receiver Mike Evans didn’t participate in Tuesday’s session after dealing with a quad injury for most of camp and then leaving Sunday’s practice after running a deep route. However, NBC Sports’ Matt Maiocco reported that Evans is now dealing with a groin issue.Evans can still be one of the most productive wide receivers in the league, especially in this offense, but injuries have held him back in recent years. Both the team and player hope that he will be full go once the regular season starts.Brock Purdy’s top wide receivers to target a practice are dwindling, as Christian Kirk and Jacob Cowing are also not participating. This leaves Purdy with Deebo Samuel, De’Zhaun Stribling, Demarcus Robinson and Jordan Watkins as the top healthy options right now. This article originally appeared on Niners Wire: New injury crops up for 49ers No. 1 wide receiver
