New York Jets News: Geno Smith battery investigation inactive due to lack of evidence

By admin — In News — July 15, 2026

Good morning Gang Green Nation! There is some good news for the Jets and Geno Smith today. Smith has been in the headlines recently for several run-ins with the police. The only serious allegations involved claims of battery against a Florida woman. We now get word that the police investigation into those allegations is inactive for lack of evidence against Smith. If you’re a tank commander or just really want to see Cade Klubnik in extended action this season this may not be good news. For those Jets fans who would like to see some modicum of success for the Jets this season, this is very good news. Smith is unlikely to be a star for the Jets, but he is by far the best option at quarterback on the current Jets roster. Here are your links to your New York Jets this glorious Wednesday in July.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSusanna Weir – Minkah Fitzpatrick, Nahshon Wright Add New Look to Jets SecondaryAmanda Vogt – Jets 2026 Training Camp Preview | Defensive Line Gets BiggerJason Fitzgerald – Offensive Line Investments for 2026ESPN – Investigation into alleged battery by Jets’ Smith no longer activeRyan Dunleavy – Police finish investigation against Jets’ Geno Smith after woman’s troubling social media postGeoffrey A Knox – Do the Jets need QB Geno Smith to be a superstar in 2026?Geoffrey A Knox – Jets place their 2026 NFL season in the hands of young pass catchersJustin Melo – Jets need RB Braelon Allen to support Breece Hall in 2026AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementCraig Moffett – Did the New York Jets really intend to compete in 2025?Ben Levine – Geno Smith Case Declared Inactive By PoliceBen Levine – Bills Claim WR Quentin SkinnerAnne Erickson – Jets, Aaron Glenn urged to make Buccaneers trade — but is it the right move?Matt Sullivan – Why Adonai Mitchell should be Jets’ top breakout candidate in 2026Matt Sullivan – Jets’ new $22 million linebacker called ‘fine wine’ by NFC execColby Colwell – Analyzing Brady Cook’s Outlook with Jets Before Training CampColby Colwell – Jets DT T’Vondre Sweat: All Aboard the Hype Train for New York’s No. 10 Player in 2026AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementNick Faria – Jets Find Themselves with Another Geno Smith Issue to Worry AboutGlenn Naughton – Mougey Overtaking Aaron Glenn at 1JD was Obvious Months agoJustin Fried – This overlooked Jets signing could solve two major defensive problemsMike Luciano – Packers expert says Jets must use Kingsley Enagbare in a very specific way in 2026Michael Zimmelman – The Jets Should Avoid Recently Cut Cornerback Terrion ArnoldRishabh Bhatnagar – Jets’ Geno Smith battery investigation inactive due to lack of evidenceHere are your missed connections from yesterday.
