But once he’s back, they’ll have four QBs on the depth chart.Considering that Deshaun Watson is playing well through the first five weeks of the season, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Browns make a trade. But which QB could be on the move? Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders appear to be the most likely options. However, according to Jonathan Jones of The Athletic, it would be a surprise to see Sanders traded by the Browns, despite Sanders’ recent hire of a new agent, and following a similar agent hire that led to Marvin Harrison Jr.’s trade.NFL insider would be surprised if Browns trade Shedeur Sanders”Still, even with that context, after talking to multiple league and team sources, I’d be more surprised if he dealt quarterback Shedeur Sanders before this year’s trade deadline,” Jones writes.Part of what’s sparked such trade interest, beyond the Browns already being a team to watch for a quarterback trade this season, was the hiring of an agent for Sanders.Recently, Sanders hired Adie von Gontard of CEO Young Money APAA Sports to be his new agent. That decision sparked some trade rumors thanks to another trade. The Arizona Cardinals traded Harrison to the Houston Texans not long after he hired a new agent. It makes logical sense for fans to speculate about a trade of Sanders after he hired an agent himself.MORE: Marvin Harrison Jr. vs. Marvin Harrison Sr. stats: How Hall of Fame dad’s slow start compares to son in Year 2But Jones would be surprised to see Sanders dealt, especially since he’s only in year two, whereas Harrison was in year three of his NFL career and closing in on free agency and needing a fifth-year option picked up.Jones sharing that “Berry is said to have a great affection for Sanders” indicates that the Browns general manager won’t part with his quarterback for nothing. With teams not likely to offer more than a fifth-round pick, if the Browns could even get that, there’s little reason for Cleveland to consider trading him, especially since he has more upside than Gabriel. The left-handed third-rounder is the quarterback the Browns should trade this season, not Sanders, Watson, or rookie Taylen Green. While it’s too soon to completely rule out a trade, it appears more likely than not that Sanders will stick with the Browns for the remainder of the season based on this update from Jones before Week 6.More NFL news:Chiefs reportedly could bring back Tyreek Hill after Rashee Rice, Tyquan Thornton injuriesNick Sirianni takes blame for Eagles disaster after eight-second collapse against JaguarsJim Harbaugh gives worrying answer after Chargers fall to 0-5Aaron Rodgers is on a hot streak after Steelers’ statem
