The NFL is reviewing an incident from Sunday’s Vikings-Dolphins game involving referee Adrian Hill and Minnesota linebacker Eric Wilson, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. It happened in the first quarter, on a play that was blown dead because of a neutral zone infraction. Due to the noise inside U.S. Bank Stadium, it appeared that some players didn’t immediately hear the whistles to stop the play. As Wilson was attempting to corral Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis, Hill — the game’s crew chief — ran towards the action while blowing his whistle. Wilson was pushed by Miami RB Ollie Gordon II and collided hard with Wilson, who went down.Although Wilson was offering to help the official up, Hill reacted angrily upon getting to his feet. He pointed towards’ the Vikings’ side of the line of scrimmage and appeared to forcefully say something to Wilson. Meanwhile, the Vikings’ linebacker seemed to point at Gordon while explaining that he was pushed. The NFL also said it is reviewing this play, at least the second today involving an interaction between a player and an official. https://t.co/RM0pZMuwMj— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 5, 2026
