Welcome to divisional play! The Detroit Lions take on the Green Bay Packers in their first NFC North game of the 2026 season on Sunday afternoon at 4:25 p.m. ET. Detroit comes off a bye week at 3-2, while the Packers enter at 4-2 on a three-game winning streak.“They’re (Green Bay Packers) playing really good football right now,” said Lions head coach Dan Campbell. “Two of their best games have been these back-to-back games. Plus-six in the turnover ratio the last two weeks, really seven takeaways on defense; it’s an opportunistic defense. They fly around the football. They disguise well and create issues. Matt’s (LaFleur) is doing a hell of a job. They’ve gotten better every week. They settled some things in that o-line. (Jonathan) Ganon’s doing a hell of a job with that defense, too. They’ve just steadily gotten better and better, and they’re playing at a very high level right now. Offensively, (Jordan) Love, man. He makes it go. He’s the secret sauce, and (Christian) Watson and (Matthew) Golden, they’re dangerous threats down the field, and he’s going to give them opportunities that shows up every week. (Tucker) Kraft has come off the injury nicely. He’s gotten better every week. He’s playing good football right now. This team’s playing at a high level. They’re big, physical and special teams. They play hard. This will be an outstanding test for us. Hell of an opponent. First division game of the season at home. We’re looking forward to it; this is a real good team right now playing good football.”Here’s a look at our Pride of Detroit staff picks for the Lions in Week 7:Morgan Cannon (4-1): Lions 31-27 (Before the Roar podcast)Brandon Knapp (4-1): Lions 31-27 (Scouting report)Ryan Mathews (4-1): Packers 31-27 (5 Qs)Jeremy Reisman (4-1): Lions 34-31 (On Paper)Alex Reno (4-1): Lions 30-28Ty Schalter (4-1): Lions 38-35Erik Schlitt (4-1): Lions 31-24 (Scheme breakdown, Keys to Victory)Meko Scott (4-1): Lions 34-28 (Before the Roar podcast)Zac Snyder (4-1): Lions 27-24John Whiticar (4-1): Packers 30-27Anthony Balaj (3-2): Lions 31-24 (Key matchups)Al Karsten (3-2): Packers 35-31 (Key stats)Jerry Mallory (3-2): Lions 27-20For the rest of the POD staff’s NFL predictions, check out our Week 7 predictions: moneyline, spread, and over/under.Now you can use your voice!
