NY Mets announce lineup for today’s game vs Kansas City Royals

   ​New York – The Mets have a chance to take a series for the first time in a month. On Wednesday night, New York produced five runs in the eighth inning, fueling a 6-2 victory over Kansas City. The club will attempt to secure a second consecutive win in the series finale at 1:10 p.m. on Thursday afternoon at Citi Field.
In Thursday’s matchup, Sean Manaea will be making his sixth start and his 20th appearance of the season. The left-hander sports a 1-4 record with a 4.77 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP. In his most recent outing, he was touched for six earned runs on six hits and one walk against Atlanta.
For the Royals, Michael Wacha will get the ball. He comes into the start with a 5-6 record, a 3.45 ERA, and a 1.15 WHIP.
Lineup notes for the Mets include A.J. Ewing in center field, Juan Soto in left field, and Bo Bichette at shortstop. Carson Benge is slated to start in right field, Francisco Alvarez will serve as the designated hitter, and Jared Young will get another look at first base. Mark Vientos is listed at third base, with Brett Baty stepping in at second, and Luis Torrens catching.
