The Malian international’s €48m transfer represents a club-record deal for both Lens and Brentford. Sangaré has signed a five-year contract with Keith Andrews’s Bees, who were in the market for a midfielder after parting ways with Chelsea-bound England international Jordan Henderson.Signed last summer in a €8m deal from Rapid Vienna, Sangaré impressed for Pierre Sage’s Lens, with his all-energy displays earning rave reviews.
