​The Gators will have one less offensive weapon to account for when they take on Ole Miss Saturday afternoon.Rebels running back Kewan Lacy is doubtful to play against Florida in the Swamp on Saturday. According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the shoulder injury that sidelined the star rusher in the third quarter against LSU will keep him out for Week 4.Earlier this week, Ole Miss coach Pete Golding characterized Lacy as a game-time decision after an MRI revealed that the injury wasn’t expected to be a long-term issue. However, Lacy’s status deteriorated as the week progressed — the Doak Walker Award finalist went from questionable to doubtful on Friday’s SEC availability report.So far this season, Lacy has rushed for 191 yards and four touchdowns on 39 carries. Backup RB JT Lindsey will step up into Lacy’s shoes as Ole Miss faces a Florida team that allowed Auburn’s backs to generate less than 3.5 yards per carry. Overall, the Gators’ run defense is ranked No. 29 according to NCAA team stats.The game was billed as a clash between potential first-round draft picks at the running back position. Fellow Doak Walker Award watchlist honoree Jadan Baugh will be in action for the Gators and is eyeing his fourth straight game with multiple rushing touchdowns.
