​Experts are feeling confident about US LBM Coaches Poll No. 3 Notre Dame making the College Football Playoff this season.Most of the CFP projections have the Fighting Irish around the top-four seeds, and even Sports Illustrated has them going in as the No. 1 seed with some a bit lower as well. Blain Crain, co-host of the Crain & Cone Show as part of the On3 network, has Notre Dame as the No. 2 in his mock CFP bracket. Crain has the Irish facing either No. 7 Indiana or No. 10 Alabama in the quarterfinals.This could be the scenario, but most likely the Irish would have to go undefeated for that to happen. It’s not easy to complete a full season without a loss, but it has happened in the recent past, as the Hoosiers did it last fall.
