​The Oregon Ducks are well stocked at the quarterback position in the near future, with potential No. 1 pick Dante Moore leading the way in 2026 and former five-star and two-year Nebraska Cornhuskers starter Dylan Raiola waiting in the wings likely with two years of eligibility remaining. Five-star Will Mencl is also set to join the Ducks as part of the 2027 class.But that doesn’t mean head coach Dan Lanning and offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer are resting on their laurels. They’ve been involved in 2028 five-star Donald Tabron II’s recruitment recently, and were included among his top three, which also consisted of the Texas A&M Aggies and LSU Tigers. He competes for Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan, where he’s the 2nd-ranked player in the state. Moore is also a Detroit native, potentially making it two extremely talented Ducks quarterbacks from the Motor City. But it will take some convincing for that to happen, as a crystal ball with 100% confidence has been placed for Tabron to land with at Texas A&M.
