OU football vs Georgia TV channel, odds, scouting report for Sooners-Bulldogs

NORMAN — Things aren’t getting easier for Oklahoma.Following back-to-back lackluster offensive performances, the Sooners travel to face No. 2 Georgia at Sanford Stadium this week. If OU (2-1) is going to flip the script on its season, its offense and quarterback John Mateer have to improve dramatically in a short amount of time. The Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 SEC) are coming off a dominating road win over Arkansas, while the Sooners barely escaped with a victory against New Mexico at home. Here’s an early look at what you need to know ahead of OU-Georgia:Stream OU vs Georgia live via ESPNMore: OU football coach Brent Venables not hiding frustration with offense. ‘That was ugly’Oklahoma vs GeorgiaWhen: 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26Where: Sanford Stadium in Athens, GeorgiaTV channel: ESPNLine: Bulldogs by 14Over/under: 44.5Scouting GeorgiaRecord: 3-0 (1-0 SEC)Best player: Third-year Bulldog KJ Bolden is perhaps the best safety in the country. He has collected seven tackles this season and was a member of the SEC coaches All-SEC Second Team last season. In 2025, he finished with 76 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and five pass breakups. The struggling Sooners offense will have their hands full. The case for Georgia: In his second season as the Bulldogs’ starter, Gunner Stockton looks more comfortable and is playing like one of the most confident quarterbacks in the country. He needed just 13 completions to defeat Arkansas. Coach Kirby Smart’s defense is once again of the nation’s best units as 28 of its 40 points allowed have come in the fourth quarter against Georgia’s backups. There’s a world where the Bulldogs blow the Sooners out.The case for OU: The Bulldogs haven’t played anyone. Georgia smoked Arkansas on the road but the Razorbacks might be one of the worst power conference teams in the country, if not the worst. UGA’s other wins are against Tennessee State and Western Kentucky. The Sooners can only hope the step up in competition gets to the Bulldogs. It’s also safe to say OU has an elite defense again, which is likely to keep them in the game. If Mateer and the Sooners’ offense can avoid mistakes and come up with a few big plans, they have a chance in a raucous environment.Colton Sulley covers the Oklahoma Sooners for The Oklahoman.
