Padres righty Casey Mize exits game with sprained right ankle

   ​SAN DIEGO (AP) — Right-hander Casey Mize of the San Diego Padres left Saturday night’s game against the Minnesota Twins with a sprained right ankle with two outs in the third inning. Mize, acquired from Detroit on Aug. 3, allowed three solo home runs in the first two innings. He apparently slipped going down the steps into the dugout after the top of the second.Mize was checked by a trainer and manager Craig Stammen after throwing his warmup pitches in the third and stayed in the game. He got two outs and allowed a double by Ryan Jeffers before being lifted for Kyle Hart.Mize allowed a leadoff homer to Luke Keaschall and then consecutive homers by Brooks Lee and rookie Kaelen Culpepper with two outs in the second.
