Carter Schade, Jarod Crespo, and Cade Christenson departed, leaving three spots open on defense. Though only Crespo was a right-hand shot, Guy Gadowsky has used defensemen on their off side. Weber has a good shot to be in the regular lineup in 2026-27. Charlie Michaud and Nick Fascia have NCAA experience, but their minutes have largely been sheltered. I like Weber’s upside on offense, and he is not afraid to be physical on defense. He should be a good fit on the third pairing next season, but if he develops faster than expected, he could jump up and play alongside Jackson Smith or Mac Gadowsky on the top two pairs.
