​The Tennessee Titans are busy with training camp and preseason, and the position battles are well underway. However, after a few weeks, some of the battles have a little more clarity.One of the biggest battles entering training camp came along the interior of the offensive line, where the center and right guard battles took center stage. Because of the unknowns along the line, it was hard for outlets to make projections and rankings; this includes Pro Football Focus (PFF), where Gordon McGuinness ranked all 32 offensive lines and has Tennessee near the bottom.No. 29: Tennessee TitansLT: Dan Moore Jr.LG: Peter SkoronskiC: Austin SchlottmannRG: Cordell VolsonRT: JC LathamPeter Skoronski is one of the best guards in football and is continuing to get better, earning a career-high 79.0 PFF grade in 2025, while JC Latham has shown potential, improving his PFF grade from 61.8 as a rookie to 65.5 last year. There are big question marks at all three other spots on the line, though, with Dan Moore Jr. having just one season with a PFF grade above 65.0, Cordell Volson none above 60.0, and Austin Schlottmann never totaling more than 400 snaps in a single season.At this stage of the preseason, the low ranking does make some sense, although the projected group in these rankings may not be the group that starts the season.Cordell Volson could still win the job; he is currently behind rookie Fernando Carmona, who more than passed the test in his start against the San Francisco 49ers. Not only did Carmona look solid, but JC Latham, playing next to him at right tackle, looked dominant. There is a long way to go before the unit is finalized, but after watching the starting unit in the first preseason game, it could surprise.Unfortunately, the question is depth, and what will happen if one of the starters goes down. The swing tackle position is up in the air, with Austin Deculus struggling mightily in his first action with the Titans. On top of that, the backups along the interior also had some uneven moments.
