Benson added that she would ensure everyone is held accountable for the situation and figure out how to turn things around.Benson said: “As the owner, the responsibility does start with me. I will not make excuses, and I will not accept this level of performance as our standard. I am committed to making the decisions necessary to improving this team.“Everyone on this organisation understands the urgency. We must prepare better, execute consistently and correct mistakes that are costing us the games.”“Kellen Moore and his coaches are responsible for preparing our players to perform. Mickey Loomis and our football staff are responsible for building a roster capable of sustained success. The players are responsible for their preparation and execution. I am responsible for holding this organisation accountable.”The Saints have started the last two seasons with a 1-4 record, showing that the problems aren’t entirely of the moment. In fact, the last time the Saints had consecutive starts with four or more losses across the first five weeks was in 1996 and 1997, when the Saints went 0-5 to start both seasons.Currently, the Saints are bottom of the NFC South. Fortunately for them, they still have time to turn things around, as all four teams in the division have struggled to start this season.HC Kellen Moore has to make sure that he can turn the situation around quickly, as from Benson’s comments, he doesn’t have an infinite leash to make as many mistakes as he has so far.Read more:NFL fans have one blunt ‘retire’ message for Odell Beckham Jr. after Vikings moveThe story behind Odell Beckham Jr.’s surprising Minnesota Vikings jersey number‘Useless negativity’ – Justin Reid has a message for Saints fans after mounting criticism following loss vs. Falcons
