PPR Fantasy Football Flex Rankings: DeVonta Smith, George Pickens, and D’Andre Swift Among The Hot Button Players for 2026

By admin — In News — July 9, 2026

Fantasy football is a marathon, not a sprint. We all know this, but like any race, a strong start matters. This offseason has featured a lot of moving parts and a draft with real impact to consider. As you begin your prep for the 2026 season, it’s crucial to understand how the Flex players stack up against one another. The vast majority of your roster comes from the flex spots, and if you can nail their ordering, you’ve already won the offseason battle.
Every league treats the quarterback position differently. We’ve got ranking and tier articles to guide you through that, but the real heart of your roster lies in the flexes. Get those in the right order, and you’ll gain a significant edge. If you’re after position-specific fantasy rankings, PFN’s updated PPR, QB, RB, WR, and TE rankings are available here. And if you want to test these rankings in practice, there’s no better way to gauge the room than our free Fantasy Football Mock Draft Simulator.
Here’s a snapshot of current top targets and where they land in the rankings:
1) Bijan Robinson, RB | ATL
2) Jahmyr Gibbs, RB | DET
3) Ja’Marr Chase, WR | CIN
4) Puka Nacua, WR | LAR
5) Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR | SEA
6) Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR | DET
7) James Cook III, RB | BUF
8) Ashton Jeanty, RB | LV
9) Christian McCaffrey, RB | SF
10) CeeDee Lamb, WR | DAL
11) Nico Collins, WR | HOU
12) De’Von Achane, RB | MIA
13) Drake London, WR | ATL
14) A.J. Brown, WR | NE
15) Jonathan Taylor, RB | IND
16) Trey McBride, TE | ARI
17) Justin Jefferson, WR | MIN
18) Saquon Barkley, RB | PHI
19) Chase Brown, RB | CIN
20) Chris Olave, WR | NO
21) George Pickens, WR | DAL
Over the past five seasons, only four receivers have averaged 16+ PPR PPG for a season before turning 25 and were not first-round picks: Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Nico Collins, and George Pickens. In his first season with the Cowboys, Pickens managed to form enough chemistry with Dak Prescott to spark questions about the WR1 in that offense. In the 13 healthy CeeDee Lamb games last season, Pickens surpassed his point total six times. That’s not bad for an introduction to the city, and the surrounding trends are working in his favor.
Start preparing with PFN’s Fantasy Mock Draft Simulator. We know this 6’3” athlete is a downfield asset, but his aDOT was actually a career low in 2025 with Lamb’s spike. That may shave the ceiling a touch on a week-to-week basis, but shorter targets are often more reliable, and we saw that play out: Pickens finished last season with 34 more catches on 34 more targets than he did in his final year in Pittsburgh. This skill set has the potential to return Round 1 value when the season is all said and done.
22) Jaylen Waddle, WR | DEN
23) Brock Bowers, TE | LV
24) Ladd McConkey, WR | LAC
25) Jeremiyah Love, RB | ARI
26) Tee Higgins, WR | CIN
27) Derrick Henry, RB | BAL
28) DeVonta Smith, WR | PHI
As you map out your plans, remember that removing AJ Brown from consideration opens the door for Smith to truly spread his wings. He has 15 career games in which he produced at a high level, even with a crowded receiving corps. Focus on building a balanced roster with a prioritized flex strategy, and you’ll set yourself up for a strong 2026 fantasy season.
