Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) and DAZN unveiled a multi-year broadcast agreement on Thursday that will see PBC events air on the DAZN platform for the foreseeable future. The new deal kicks off on July 25 with the highly anticipated Errol Spence Jr. vs. Tim Tszyu showdown, which will be available on Prime Video pay-per-view, DAZN pay-per-view, and DAZN Ultimate. In addition, PBC announced a welterweight title clash featuring two-division champions Rolando “Rolly” Romero and Teofimo Lopez for August 22, set to be carried by the same three platforms.
The collaboration signals a broader broadcast strategy for PBC, with additional events anticipated in September, October, and November that DAZN will carry. Those September–November cards are expected to feature a star-studded lineup, including top contenders and notable names such as WBC super welterweight champion Sebastian Fundora, former WBA super lightweight champion Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz, and the No. 3 pound-for-pound sensation, David Benavidez, all of whom are widely anticipated to appear on the forthcoming schedule.
This partnership places PBC alongside DAZN’s growing roster of major boxing promoters. DAZN already partners with a wide array of industry leaders, including Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing, Bob Arum’s Top Rank, Frank Warren’s Queensberry, Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, Kalle Sauerland’s MF Pro, and Ben Shalom’s BOXXER. The collaboration strengthens DAZN’s standing in the sport, consolidating access to a broad spectrum of marquee fights for fans across the globe.
Among the remaining major promoters, Zuffa Boxing, led by Dana White, remains outside the DAZN fold, having separate agreements with Paramount in the United States and Sky Sports in the United Kingdom. Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, a dominant force in women’s boxing in the United States, also operates outside the DAZN umbrella, with its events airing on ESPN in the U.S. and Sky Sports internationally. Meanwhile, PBC has been navigating a transitional period since Showtime Sports ceased operations at the end of 2023. While PBC has continued to stage a handful of events on Prime Video each year, most of these have been pay-per-view events. Industry insiders have suggested that Amazon’s rights fee may not have been sufficient to sustain a more expansive schedule beyond pay-per-view offerings.
Thursday’s agreement is viewed as a strategic pivot that could expand PBC’s annual event slate while reinforcing DAZN’s already dominant position in the boxing broadcast market. By aligning more closely with DAZN, PBC positions itself to reach a broader, more diverse audience and provides fans with more accessible options to watch marquee fights across multiple platforms. The deal is expected to unlock a busier calendar for PBC in the coming years, with improved visibility for flagship bouts and a deeper pipeline of championship matchups that fans have anticipated for some time.
