Premier League giants prepare record €159m bid for Real Madrid megastar as renewal stalls

Premier League giants are lining up a record 159 million euro bid for Real Madrid megastar Vinicius Jr. as renewal talks stall. The Brazilian forward’s contract negotiations with Real Madrid are growing more complicated, with Europe’s top clubs watching closely in hopes of snapping up one of football’s brightest talents, according to SPORT. Vinicius and Real Madrid are expected to resume discussions after the World Cup, though it remains unclear whether talks will begin immediately after the tournament or once the player’s post-competition break ends.
Salary demands have created a standoff. The main hurdle remains Vinicius’s salary expectations, as he aims to become the highest-paid player in Real Madrid’s squad. This demand has widened the gap between the two sides and made a deal increasingly difficult to reach. Time is running out; Real Madrid are believed to have only a limited window to secure an agreement. If no renewal is reached before Vinicius enters the final phase of his contract, he would be free to negotiate with other clubs, potentially securing a substantial signing bonus similar to the one Kylian Mbappé received when joining Real Madrid as a free agent.
Premier League clubs are on alert. The report suggests one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs is preparing a bid of £137 million (about €159 million) for Vinicius, with the possibility of attempting a summer move. While the exact club isn’t identified, the source says it is among England’s elite sides. Bayern Munich are also watching developments closely and could move if Real Madrid becomes willing to negotiate, with speculation even suggesting Michael Olise could feature in talks, though Bayern would likely face a challenge meeting Vinícius’s financial demands. PSG are also monitoring the situation and could join the race if the Brazilian becomes available.
Real Madrid are said to be preparing a final contract offer. The plan is to present one last proposal; if Vinicius rejects it, Madrid would begin discussions with interested clubs to sell him before he reaches the final stages of his contract, rather than risk losing him for nothing. Any transfer fee could be reinvested in signing a marquee replacement, with Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise viewed as a leading target. As negotiations continue without a breakthrough, uncertainty about Vinicius’s long-term future has grown, prompting Europe’s wealthiest clubs to prepare for a potential opportunity.
