With the NFL’s summer lull winding down, the Los Angeles Rams are primed to kick off their 2026 Training Camp. There are fewer than three weeks left until the July 25 reporting date for both veterans and rookies. For the third year in a row, Los Angeles will return to Loyola Marymount University, and under a newly expanded agreement, the Rams are set to remain there through 2031.
The roster has been bolstered by a number of high-profile additions, placing the Rams among the league’s strongest on paper and fueling high expectations. Yet this year’s camp is likely to involve substantial work as the team refines chemistry and establishes its depth. When exactly will the on-field work begin?
For 2026, seven Rams practices will be open to the public, with free admission and high demand. All dates have sold out, and the official waitlist is the only route to secure a glimpse of practice sessions.
– Monday, July 27: Gates open at 2:45 p.m.; Practice begins at 4:15 p.m.
– Wednesday, July 29: Gates open at 11:45 a.m.; Practice begins at 12:55 p.m.
– Saturday, August 1: Gates open at 2:45 p.m.; Practice begins at 4:15 p.m.
– Sunday, August 2: Gates open at 10:15 a.m.; Practice begins at 11:40 a.m.
– Monday, August 3: Gates open at 11:45 a.m.; Practice begins at 12:55 p.m.
– Wednesday, August 5: Gates open at 3:00 p.m.; Practice begins at 4:15 p.m.
– Thursday, August 6: Gates open at 3:00 p.m.; Practice begins at 4:15 p.m.
Under NFL rules, each team may conduct up to four joint practices during camp. Rams head coach Sean McVay uses these joint sessions to evaluate starters and primary backups in a semi-live setting, crafting scenarios that pit the team against a true opponent while allowing the coaching staff to control contact levels.
Camp is scheduled to conclude on August 6, after which the Rams will return to their Woodland Hills facility to prepare for the upcoming preseason. The preseason slate currently includes a clash on Saturday, August 22, against the New Orleans Saints at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
As training camp approaches, the Rams currently have 85 active players under contract to begin camp. Front office and coaching staff may add a few more bodies to reach the NFL’s 90-player limit, but given the overall depth across positions, the roster appears well equipped to handle the preseason workload. Unless injuries arise, each positional unit seems adequately stocked to meet the demands of the exhibition schedule.
