Los Angeles Rams star Myles Garrett was one of the big winners at Wednesday night’s ESPYS. The team’s newest pass rusher took home two awards, highlighted by the honor of being voted the Best NFL Player. He won that award over fellow teammate Matthew Stafford, as well as Drake Maye and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Garrett and Stafford were both deserving of the award, but it was the reigning Defensive Player of the Year who took home the hardware.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementAdditionally, Garrett won the ESPY for the Best Record-Breaking Performance. He set the NFL record for the most sacks in a season, recording a whopping 23 of them last season as a member of the Browns. The record was previously held by Michael Strahan (2001) and T.J. Watt (2021), as both players recorded 22.5 sacks in their respective seasons.Garrett will have a chance to eclipse his own record in 2026 with the Rams, a team that will be leading far more games than the Browns did last season. That’ll allow him to tee off on quarterbacks when opponents are forced to drop back and throw the ball to keep up with Los Angeles’ high-powered offense.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThis article originally appeared on Rams Wire: Rams star Myles Garrett takes home 2 awards at ESPYS
