Rams’ Alaric Jackson isn’t facing criminal charges following arrest

Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson is not currently facing charges tied to his arrest last month on suspicions of domestic violence, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office confirmed. “Charges are not filed against the respondent at this time; however, the case remains open for the duration of the statute of limitations and can be reevaluated if new developments arise,” said Ivor Pine, a spokesperson for the City Attorney’s Office. Pine noted that the matter has been designated for a City Attorney hearing, which is a pre-filing diversion option that serves as an alternative to pursuing misdemeanor prosecution.
Jackson, 27, was taken into custody on June 9 after police responded to a report at a West Hills residence involving Jackson and a pregnant woman. While no charges have been filed at this stage, the case continues to be monitored, and authorities indicated that it could be revisited if additional information surfaces.
Beyond the potential criminal case, Jackson could still face discipline from the NFL if league investigators determine that he violated the personal conduct policy for a second time. In 2024, he served a two-game suspension, and if the NFL concludes another violation occurred, he could be subject to a six-game suspension or a ban of at least one year.
The Rams are set to report to training camp on July 25 as they prepare for the Sept. 10 season opener against the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia. This development comes as the team approaches the start of a new campaign, with uncertainty still hanging over Jackson’s status pending any further legal or league actions.
