Report Juventus book Pellegrino as Kolo Muani talks stall

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Juventus have effectively put Parma’s Mateo Pellegrino on their radar as a potential alternative while negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani stall, with the Ligue 1 giants reportedly holding out for a €55 million fee. The report suggests that PSG’s demands have become more strenuous, placing Juventus in a difficult position as their latest offer remains significantly below that figure.
The same source notes that Juventus would prefer to see talks with PSG progress over the next ten days, a window aligned with the arrival of Pellegrino’s representatives in Italy to discuss the striker’s future. In the event that no agreement is reached within this period, Juventus are said to pivot their attention back to Parma’s center-forward as a viable alternative.
Reports indicate Juventus have asked Parma to block any potential move for Pellegrino, an Argentine striker valued at around €30 million. The arrangement under consideration would see Pellegrino leave Parma on loan with an obligation to buy, a structure Juventus consider favorable for securing long-term options without an immediate full outlay. The proposed plan anticipates that Pellegrino could be integrated into Juventus’ plans if the Muani talks fail to produce a deal within the specified timeframe.
Photographs from Verona in late November highlight Pellegrino’s recent form, illustrating his capability as a contributor for Parma. The sequence captures the forward celebrating a goal in a Serie A match against Hellas Verona at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi, underscoring why Juventus would view him as a credible addition should their pursuit of Muani encounter further obstacles.
Corriere dello Sport also confirms that Luciano Spalletti, Juventus’ managerial target or potential long-term plan depending on the context, is reportedly demanding two strikers, with no room in his scheme for Lois Openda or Jonathan David. The article reinforces that while Pellegrino is a candidate, Juventus retain interest in other prominent forwards as they weigh options for the coming season.
In addition to Pellegrino, Juventus remain connected to other attacking profiles. Alexander Sorloth continues to attract attention, and Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen to re-sign Nico Gonzalez during the current transfer window, which keeps a number of high-profile strikers under consideration as Juventus navigate a competitive market for forwards.
