Report – Juventus considering Norway star for JanuaryLuciano Spalletti wants Juventus to sign another striker in the January transfer window after the club failed to strengthen the position sufficiently during the summer. The manager needs more options in attack, particularly with the team facing difficulties in finding the right balance up front. The Old Lady lost three strikers in the last transfer window and signed three replacements, but the situation has not worked out as hoped. Jeff Ekhator is still a teenager and has not even been available to play, leaving Juventus short of the options they need. His absence has made it more difficult for Spalletti to manage the attacking department.Juventus need more options in attackRecent matches suggest that Juventus perform better when Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade play together. Having both players on the pitch appears to offer the team a stronger attacking option, but using the only available strikers at the same time carries risks. Spalletti could find himself with limited alternatives if either player needs to be replaced or is unavailable. That concern makes the need for another forward more pressing as Juventus consider their plans for January. While the team can benefit from deploying its current options together, the manager must also consider the need to maintain flexibility throughout matches. Relying on the same players without sufficient cover could create further problems.Ekhator is not expected to return from injury for some time, and the teenager will also need time to establish himself. Juventus therefore have little reason to depend on him to solve their immediate problems in attack. Bringing in another striker during the January transfer window could give Spalletti greater depth and reduce the pressure on his existing forwards.(Photo by Justin Setterfield/Getty Images)Alexander Sorloth emerges as a targetAccording to Calciomercato, Alexander Sorloth is the player Juventus have on their radar. The club have followed the striker for some time, including during the last summer transfer window, suggesting that their interest is not new.Sorloth’s situation at Atletico Madrid could offer Juventus an opportunity to explore a deal. His place in the team has been taken by Juventus loanee Jonathan David, and Juve could even consider negotiating a swap deal as they look to strengthen their attack. However, Sorloth is only just returning from injury and needs to regain his fitness and match sharpness soon. Juventus would have to consider that situation carefully before pursuing a move, particularly given their need for a striker who can help the team.
