​LeBron James has done just about everything a player could do in his 23 years in the league. The No. 1 pick of the 2003 draft has been brilliant throughout his time in the league with career averages of 26.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists and he’s never averaged less than 20.9 points in any season of his career–his rookie year and his 23rd year.As James now joins the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency, there are many who question his legacy due to the way he won his four championships. It’s mainly social media chatter, but there have been the talking heads in the national media who always have something to say about his career.James’ agent with Klutch Sports, Rich Paul, made a statement on the legacy of James when asked what would happen if he weren’t to win a title with the Sixers:It would mean absolutely nothing for his legacy, he’s already in the Hall of Fame. There’s nobody to ever pick up a basketball that could ever have a conversation with him about basketball–a discouraging conversation. They can talk about it all they want, but they can’t deprive him of anything in the basketball universe. There’s no room he can’t be in when you’re talking about basketball. He’s amongst every great that’s played the game. Don’t get me wrong, he’s playing to win. He made the choice to go to Philadelphia, but it’s less about his legacy. He is the game’s all-time leading scorer, he’s won four championships, he led the greatest finals comeback ever when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the title in 2016, and is arguably the best player to ever play the game. There is nothing anybody can say that would destroy his legacy or tear down what is already a legendary career.
