Roma set deadline for Summerville, await player’s answer

   ​Crysencio Summerville has become a priority for Gian Piero Gasperini. While negotiations for the Dutchman had become difficult before the World Cup,Roma now have a significant opportunity to make a move. Coming off a disappointing World Cup with his native Netherlands, the winger is now the main target for the attack.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementYesterday, initial contacts took place between the agents—who were in the capital to finalize the Doekhi-Lazio deal—and sporting director Tony D’Amico.It was a positive meeting, which has since been followed up. The 2001-born player’s position is no longer as rigid as it was before the World Cup, when he was demanding a €6 million salary.According to Matteo Moretto, Roma and Summerville’s agents are in excellent sync, but a financial agreement is still pending.The transfer expert adds that the Giallorossi are awaiting a response from the player and have set a deadline.A “do or die” deal to be answered within a week, before deciding whether or not to make the move. Once Crysencio’s approval is obtained, D’Amico will have to begin negotiations with West Ham for the player’s rights.
