BATON ROUGE, La. — An unexpected development in the days leading up to No. 7 LSU’s primetime matchup with No. 8 Ole Miss in Oxford. On the SEC injury report released Wednesday, LSU has listed starting quarterback Sam Leavitt as ‘doubtful’ for week three.Leavitt has carried the ball 23 times for 135 yards and 5 touchdowns in the Tigers’ first two games, but all signs still point to him playing against Ole Miss this weekend. He threw three of his four interceptions this season in Saturday’s 45-14 win over Louisiana Tech but appeared okay after LSU’s victory over the Bulldogs.Leavitt spoke with the media after the contest but did not appear at Tuesday’s player availability.On3 college football insider Pete Nakos says that Leavitt has been dealing with a sore throwing shoulder and has been limited in practice. If Leavitt can’t go on Saturday, Landen Clark would likely get the start. The Elon transfer has managed a passing and rushing touchdown in limited action against Clemson and Louisiana Tech. Linebacker TJ Dottery was listed as questionable.
