The fog has begun to lift, and organizers are hoping it clears enough to usher in an action-packed final day at the 2026 Scottish Open. Only eight groups managed to start Round 3 before a weather delay stretched for two and a half hours, and play was then halted again with 11 pairs still on the course. Johnny Keefer made the most dramatic move up the leaderboard on Saturday, firing a 6-under 64 to vault into a tie for third at 11 under, just one stroke behind leaders Matt Fitzpatrick and Michael Thorbjornsen, who will complete their third rounds on Sunday. Also within striking distance in the late stages of Round 3 were Jordan Smith, who finished the round in the final group, along with Chris Gotterup, Min Woo Lee, Kevin Roy, and U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark.
Robert MacIntyre of Scotland remains in contention at 9 under with nine holes remaining in Round 3, while Rory McIlroy is hoping for a reset after a sluggish 3-over start, which dropped him from the lead to a tie for 25th. The plan for the final round is to start as soon as the third round concludes, with players teeing off in threesomes from the No. 1 tee. The earliest possible start time is not before 5:15 a.m. ET.

Streaming options include the ESPN app (Select plan) and Sling for Golf Channel, as well as Fubo for CBS (free trial). PGA Tour Live will offer featured groups and hole-by-hole streaming via the ESPN app beginning at 6:30 a.m. ET, available to subscribers of the Select plan.
The final-round tee times and round four schedule will be published later in the day. AccuWeather forecasts a high near 61 degrees in North Berwick, Scotland, with a mix of sun and clouds anticipated. Winds are expected to come from the east-northeast at 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph, and there’s about a 5% chance of rain. The prize pool for the 2026 Scottish Open totals $9 million, with the winner set to receive more than $1.57 million.
