​Jul. 15—HARTFORD, S.D. — Tyndall’s Michael Branaugh shot under par to win the South Dakota Golf Association Junior Tour boys event at Central Valley Golf Course on Tuesday, July 14.Branaugh, who will be a junior at Bon Homme High School for the upcoming school year, shot a 1-under-71 to win the age 16-18 boys division by two shots over Brandon’s Lincoln McInerney and Cooper Shuman. Branaugh had four birdies and three birdies in his round and made par on his final three holes to seal the win.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementOther notables in the age group included Mitchell’s Parker Rauscher, who tied for 15th by shooting an 82.In the age 14-15 boys group, Dresyn Bolden, of Howard, was fifth and shot a round of 83. The division was won by Brandon’s Teddy Krivarchka, who shot 75.Other recent notable SDGA Junior Tour performances:* Parkston’s Landon Weber won the age 16-18 boys division on July 13 at Worthington (Minn.) Country Club. Weber shot a round of 76, winning the five-player division by 10 strokes. In the boys 12-13 division, Colby Gerard, of Presho was third, shooting 92, while Malachi Moran, of Presho, was fourth in the boys 14-15 grouping after shooting 96.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement* Mitchell’s Layna Rients was the only competitor in Worthington in the girls age 12-13 grouping, shooting 64 on nine holes.* In the River Ridge Golf Course event in Garretson on July 14, Salem’s Marney Heisinger was second to Sioux Falls’ Olivia Schonhardt in the girls 9-and-under division. Schonhardt shot 46 while Heisinger shot 49.* On July 8, Mitchell’s Griffin Lyle finished fourth in the age 12-13 division at Rocky Run Golf Course in Dell Rapids. Lyle shot 81, finishing seven shots off the lead and fellow Mitchell golfer Jack Gillen was seventh, shooting 87.* On July 13, Wessington Springs’ Tucker Thompson finished fourth in the boys age 16-18 grouping at Lake Region Golf Course near Lake Norden. Wolsey’s Larz Tvedt won the division shooting 72. Lincoln Zeigler, of Winner, was second in the boys 12-13 division, shooting 89.
