Has Seattle Seahawks star Michael Dickson had the best season among all punters in recent memory?According to Pro Football Focus’ Bradley Locker, Dickson had the highest-graded individual season by a punter in the PFF era, which dates back to 2006, back in the 2024 season, having garnered a grade of 93.7 for his performance that year.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement“Although 2025 second-team All-Pro Dickson didn’t receive any recognition for his prior season, it was even more tremendous,” Dickson said. “The Seahawks punter recorded a record 93.7 PFF punting grade by averaging 4.53 seconds of hangtime, 43.3 net yards per attempt and 33 punts landing inside the 20-yard line.”Before earning second-team All-Pro honors in 2025 with the Seahawks, Dickson also garnered a first-team All-Pro nod as a rookie in 2018, but his performance in 2024 stands above all of his other seasons, as well as that of all of his peers. Other All-Pro punters have had seasons of note over the course of the last two decades, but Dickson’s work in 2024 was memorable. This article originally appeared on Seahawks Wire: Seahawks P Michael Dickson owns highest-graded season in PFF era
