​Photo by: Randy SartinSheldon Creed is officially on a roll.The Haas Factory Team driver stormed to another victory Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway, winning the Food City 300 in overtime and picking up his second win in the first three races of the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase.Creed’s victory came after a wild finish that completely changed the complexion of the race. After a late caution set up an overtime restart, crew chief Jonathan Toney made the decision to put Creed on fresh tires. That call proved to be the difference.Creed restarted near the front and immediately went to work. With much fresher tires underneath his No. 00 Chevrolet, he charged past William Sawalich and took control of the race.Sawalich attempted to fight back on the high side, but Creed had too much grip. He crossed the finish line just 0.253 seconds ahead of Sawalich to secure the win.The victory is Creed’s third of the 2026 season and the third of his O’Reilly Auto Parts Series career.What makes the recent run even more impressive is Creed’s Chase consistency. He has now finished first, second and first in the three postseason races, putting him at the top of the Chase standings with an 11-point advantage over Justin Allgaier.Creed’s turnaround has been remarkable. Earlier this season, he finally broke through for his first series victory after recording a record 15 runner-up finishes. Now, he has quickly turned that first win into a championship-caliber run.With the Chase heading to Las Vegas next, Creed has established himself as the driver everyone else is chasing.The No. 00 team has found something special at exactly the right time.
