Sho I Got Hei: D’Backs 9, Dodgers 3

By admin — In News — July 11, 2026

If you’re only interested in the baseball happenings, feel free to skip ahead to the section titled “The Actual Game Recap.” If you’ve been around the Snakepit long enough, you’ll know about the now-traditional cannabis-themed recap, or “weedcaps,” that we do every April 20th. For newcomers or those unfamiliar with how that works, a weedcap is my recap of the game paired with testing and reviewing various cannabis products and accessories. That tradition didn’t carry through in 2026, since April 20th was an off day for the D’Backs, so we pivoted to another cannabis holiday that coincides with today, July 10th. July 10 has become the day to celebrate cannabis concentrates, simply because 7/10 reads as “OIL” upside down. (Apologies to readers in regions that use day/month formatting.)
Links are included to define terms or to direct you to the relevant business websites. During the 2026 season, I’ve frequently mentioned the “Rally Rig” in the comments, where I take dabs in the belief that the ritual might rally the team. This piece was part of the Daily High Club’s April “420 stoner party” subscription box, which you can check out if you’re interested. The photo below shows the full contents of the subscription box. I looked everywhere for a baseball-related angle to tie into this article, but couldn’t find much that fit, so I started with what I had. I’ve built up a fairly impressive collection of glass pieces largely thanks to these boxes, and I’ve been satisfied overall. Still, I wouldn’t recommend subscribing to the boxes yourself, as unsubscribing can be mildly annoying. If you enjoy cool glass pieces or are shopping for a gift for the cannabis enthusiast in your life, I’d definitely suggest giving their website a look.
To accompany the glass piece designed for use with concentrates, I grabbed a couple of different strains—Mr. Powers round glass container on the left and Blueberry on the right—of sugar wax from Tucson Saints Dispensary’s house brand. I also picked up some IO Extracts Pineapple Chem shatter, shown between the two sugar wax containers. I won’t dive into every detail of the individual products, but the Saints Wax offers a compelling combination of value (about 2.5 grams for $25 or less) and quality. IO Extracts also produces solid products worth checking out, though they don’t offer the same level of value.
On the baseball front, Shohei Ohtani, who had been slated as the Dodgers’ starting pitcher, was scratched from the lineup. The Dodgers instead turned to their bullpen, beginning with right-hander Kyle Hurt. The Diamondbacks jumped on early offense, scoring two runs in the first inning thanks to back-to-back singles from Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo, setting the early tone for the game.
