Florida went into Jordan-Hare Stadium and won a game for the first time since 1999 on Saturday night. Behind another strong performance from running back Jadan Baugh, the Gators earned their first signature win of the Jon Sumrall era in blow-out fashion. It was the first road win for UF since 2024.Sumrall’s team entered the SEC opener largely untested in Weeks 1 and 2 after dismantling Florida Atlantic and Campbell. Many experts felt the Gators may struggle with the elevated level of competition. That was not the case as UF dismantled Alex Golesh’s team from start to finish. The defense intercepted Byrum Brown one minute into the game and sacked him seven times. On offense, the Gators generated more than a dozen plays of 20-plus yards or more, gashing the Tigers’ defense with regularity.Auburn fans began heading toward the exit early in the fourth quarter as the writing was on the wall late in the game.As expected, Gator Nation had plenty to say afterward. From celebrating the road breakthrough to dissecting Florida’s performance, social media was on fire from kickoff to the final whistle.“IT’S GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!” pic.twitter.com/Zy0oLA3vSi— Zach Abolverdi (@ZachAbolverdi) September 20, 2026FINAL: Florida 44, Auburn 39First SEC win for Jon Sumrall. pic.twitter.com/BnawMabUaj— Zach Abolverdi (@ZachAbolverdi) September 20, 2026We hung 44 points on your heads actually https://t.co/iXA5x1SzeN— Florida Gators 🐊🔥 (@gatorsszn) September 20, 2026I love this guy!!! pic.twitter.com/W7qbVyjguC— David Newcomb (@InstructorDuke) September 20, 2026Jadan Baugh • 4th straight game of 100+ rush yards • 12th all-time in program rush yards • 10th all-time in program rush TDs • 8 rush TDs in 3 games this season RB1 pic.twitter.com/KQaYD4Dac6— Florida Gators Football (@GatorsFB) September 20, 2026“It’s great to be a Florida Gator” chants taking over Jordan Hare pic.twitter.com/smQINx3H6Y— Aj Sheridan (@AjSheridanRadio) September 19, 2026Jon Sumrall is the real deal. #Gatorspic.twitter.com/jixq9m4Xpu— Daren Stoltzfus WESH (@DarenStoltzfus) September 20, 2026Pass rush got home 🔥 pic.twitter.com/BJKrJ5orwr— Florida Gators Football (@GatorsFB) September 19, 2026Ball out tonight Air Philo 😎🐊#GoGators#BeatAuburnpic.twitter.com/XIsCvzPgCb— GATORCHOMP🇺🇲🐊 (@GatorChompXX) September 19, 2026GIVE HIM THE HEISMAN pic.twitter.com/rmePjXX3ZV— GatorScope (@GatorScope) September 20, 2026It GAME TIME!
