​The St. Paul Saints had as many hits as the Omaha Storm Chasers on Thursday in Omaha, Neb.That would usually be enough for St. Paul to come away with a victory, as they easily lead the International League in home runs this season. The Saints have 237 homers this season, 45 more than the next closest team.The extra-base pop was missing on Thursday.St. Paul had seven hits but lost 7-1 while tallying just one extra-base hit, a solo home run by Cody Morissette in the seventh inning to avoid being shut out. It was the fourth straight game with a homer by Morissette, becoming the second player in franchise history to accomplish the feat. Drew Maggi homered in four straight in 2021.Meanwhile, Omaha had three home runs. No Saints player had more than one hit in the game.Right-handed pitcher Germán Márquez made his fourth start for St. Paul. He allowed six runs but just two earned in six innings.
