Photo by Cooper Neill/Getty ImagesAaron Rodgers could extend the Pittsburgh Steelers’ record to 4-2 this weekend with a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On the whole, it has been a solid start to the season for the Steelers but there have certainly been some issues along the way for Mike McCarthy’s team. Rodgers has had his ups and downs with the recent win over the Indianapolis Colts showing exactly what he is still capable of.The 42-year-old is playing into his final season in the NFL before he calls it a day on his career. Naturally, that will set the bar extremely high on what he will be hoping to achieve from this season as he aims to leave on a high. However, Stephen A. Smith has laughed off the suggestion that could lead to the Steelers making it to the Super Bowl. Something he feels Rodgers will also acknowledge deep down.Stephen A. Smith says Aaron Rodgers knows the Steelers can’t win the Super BowlThere have certainly been some promising signs for the Steelers like the win over the Cincinnati Bengals earlier in the season. Topping the AFC North will be a challenge in itself but potentially beating teams like the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs to make the Super Bowl is another challenge altogether.“Please, will you stop it? Aaron Rodgers knows his team isn’t good enough to win a Super Bowl, okay? He isn’t going to say that, but he knows that, okay?” Smith said on First Take.“Aaron Rodgers was once a big time quarterback. He’s not that anymore. He’s 42 years of age. Last week, he threw three touchdown passes. Think he’s done it for the last three weeks or so. He threw a season. I don’t know, I forgot how many passes he threw last year, but it was a season low in pass attempts. He still completed 71% of his passes. They’ve won the game. We understand that, and we understand that, in the end, the Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t won a Super Bowl, haven’t won a playoff game since [2017].”Considering Rodgers has only won one Super Bowl in his entire career, expecting him to win another at the age of 42 is a huge stretch. The quarterback’s reputation in the league is not going to be damaged by him not making a deep run into the playoffs either.Although he won’t want to admit it, it is apparent that the Steelers likely aren’t going to have what it takes to pull off what would be a miracle and reach the Super Bowl. Rodgers is not delusional and surely he will be all too aware of this.Read more:Cleveland Browns’ stance on a potential Shedeur Sanders trade revealed by NFL reporter‘You’ve cost…’ – Sam Darnold faces brutal verdict after Seahawks’ loss vs. BroncosMel Kiper Jr. names three potential NFL landing spots for Arch Manning
