The 24-year-old registered two goals and grabbed one assist in ten matches for Fenerbahce in this campaign so far across various competitions. The English defender is currently one of the most talented full-backs in the Turkish Super Lig. Hence, it is no surprise that Sunderland are in the running to land him next year. His current contract at the Turkish club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could open the door for the Black Cats to sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.ISTANBUL, TURKEY – APRIL 5: Archie Brown of Fenerbahce looks on during the Trendyol Super Lig match between Fenerbahce SK and Besiktas JK at Ulker Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on April 5, 2026 in Istanbul, Turkey. (Photo by Ahmad Mora/Getty Images)Should Sunderland Boss Regis Le Bris Go For Brown?Brown loves a tackle and can read the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot and can even create the odd chance for his teammates from the left flank. The English talent can even chip in by scoring a few crucial goals for his team. Brown mainly functions as a left-back but can also operate a centre-back or as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. He has already got some experience in the Premier League and won’t take any time to adjust to life at the Wearside club.We can expect Brown to bring more quality and depth to Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris’ defence. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team place at the Stadium of Light. At 24, Brown has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Wearside outfit to pursue next year. All in all, Le Bris would be wise to go for him this January or at the end of this season.
