For Pride of Detroit, we are tasked with fielding questions from Detroit Lions fans, and as we head into Week 4 of the 2026 NFL season, we have two questions for fans this week:Will the Lions beat the Panthers in Week 4? (recurring poll)After returning to their winning ways by defeating the Jets in Week 3, the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook believe Detroit will stay on the winning track in Week 4 against the Panthers, having set the original betting line at Lions -2.5 points and shifting it to -3.5-points in recent days.Under head coach Dave Canales, the Panthers have shown growth, going from a 5-12 football team to an 8-9 division winner. While the Panthers have started the season 1-2, they have built a low-key solid roster, but unfortunately, they’ve been hit hard by the injury bug. In addition to replacing both starting offensive tackles due to injuries/illness this offseason, they’ve also had to place 2025 second-round pick EDGE Nic Scourton and 2026 third-round pick WR Chris Brazell on injured reserve. Currently, prized free agent linebacker Devin Lloyd (calf), starting safety Nick Scott (rib), and starting wide receiver Xavier Legette (knee) are dealing with injuries that kept them from playing last week, while several other starters were injured in Week 3, including corner Jaycee Horn (quad), corner Mike Jackson (groin), wide receiver Jalen Coker (quad/ankle), left guard Damien Lewis (UCL), and quarterback Bryce Young (lower body). Horn and Lewis are expected to be unavailable this week, but several others could also miss this game against the Lions. The Lions are dealing with their own significant injuries, but the Panthers’ potential absences could help the Lions score 31 points for the fourth game in a row.
