Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans from across the NCAA. Throughout the year, we pose questions to Syracuse’s most engaged supporters and to fans from around the country. Sign up here to participate in our weekly emailed surveys and share your voice with the community. As summer progresses, we start turning our attention to the 2026-27 season and consider which programs might rise to the top in the coming athletic year. This week, we’re asking you to pick which of four men’s programs you believe will have the best season in the upcoming year.
Note: To keep the focus on the four main options, cross-country has been excluded from this week’s poll. Your choices are football, basketball, lacrosse, and soccer.
Lacrosse had a standout season, reaching the Final Four, but Gary Gait will need to replace a significant amount of production as the team moves forward. Can they push back into the Final Four for a third consecutive time?
In football, Fran Brown faces the challenge of turning around a program coming off a 3-9 season. With Steve Angeli returning at quarterback, there are reasons for optimism that the offense and overall performance could improve in 2026-27.
On the basketball side, Gerry McNamara takes the helm at his alma mater. Can he break the recent stretches of disappointing seasons and guide the program back to national relevance and sustained success?
Lastly, in soccer, Ian McIntyre is the only current head coach in this lineup with an NCAA title to his name. Will his squad deliver another thrilling season and compete for top honors on the national stage?
We appreciate everyone who participates and shares their insights. Be sure to check back later this week for the results and analysis from the poll.
