Syracuse women’s basketball continued to shape its 2026-27 roster by adding guard Elif Çayir to the team. The 5’10” guard hails from Turkey and has been competing in the Turkish KSBL for Nesibe Aydin. Çayir appeared in 10 games during the 2025-26 season, tallying 47 playing minutes and scoring 8 points for Nesibe Aydin. At 20 years old, she brings four seasons of KSBL experience to the Orange bench. In addition to Çayir, Syracuse has added transfers Sarah Rambus, Tyi Skinner, Jaleesa Molina and Emely Rodriguez, along with freshmen Madison Howard and Destiny Robinson. Domonique Darius is listed on the roster, but her eligibility for the upcoming season has not yet been confirmed. Returning players include Uche Izoje, Keira Scott, Shy Hawkins, Angelica Velez and Olivia Schmitt. Here are some highlights of Çayir in action.
