​Rewriting the AP report: Some of Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates, including retired Super Bowl champion Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles and other notable sports figures, are expected to attend Kelce’s wedding to pop superstar Taylor Swift on Friday. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle recently said he received an invitation and plans to be there. The ceremony is planned for Madison Square Garden, the arena that hosts the NBA’s New York Knicks and the NHL’s Rangers. Swift was courtside at Game 4 of the NBA Finals at MSG, where the Knicks completed the league’s biggest comeback of that stage by overcoming a 29-point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs. MSG has a storied history of major sports moments since the modern arena opened in 1968 atop Penn Station. The Knicks captured their first NBA title there in 1970 when Willis Reed returned from injury to lead a Game 7 victory over the Lakers. The venue also hosted the famous 1971 “Fight of the Century,” in which Joe Frazier defeated Muhammad Ali in the opening bout of their trio of classic matchups; Ali won the rematch in 1974. The Rangers ended a 54-year championship drought at the Garden in 1994 by defeating the Vancouver Canucks for the Stanley Cup.
