​Tennessee baseball signee Cody Boshell was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 11th round of the 2026 MLB Draft, with the No. 326 overall pick announced on July 12. Boshell had committed to Tennessee since August 2022 and signed with the Vols in November. During four high school seasons at Bishop Snyder High School, Boshell posted a .318 batting average with 17 home runs and 72 RBIs. On the mound for 156.1 innings, the left-hander recorded a 3.36 ERA and struck out 231 batters. As a multi-sport or multi-position talent, Boshell showed a versatile profile that appealed to college programs as well as professional scouts.
The news comes as part of a broader wave of Vols prospects entering the professional ranks after declaring their intent to pursue baseball at the next level. Boshell’s selection continues Tennessee’s recent track record of producing players who attract MLB interest while maintaining their commitments to collegiate programs.
