Inside it sits the familiar block Texas A&M logo surrounded by 12 stars, representing the 12th Man.And the details don’t stop there.Stripes running through the center reference those traditionally worn on Texas A&M soccer uniforms, while “1993” sits underneath the university logo as a nod to the program’s inaugural season.That’s quite a bit of Aggie history packed into one crest, and the timing makes its Corps connection particularly interesting.Texas A&M football revealed its “Honor and Support” uniforms Friday, which similarly draw inspiration from the Corps of Cadets while commemorating the university’s 150th anniversary.The two designs aren’t the same, nor has Texas A&M indicated their back-to-back releases are part of one coordinated initiative.But the common thread is difficult to miss.Football incorporated the Corps’ khaki uniforms and other pieces of Texas A&M’s military heritage into an alternate look designed for one particularly significant game.Soccer has now incorporated that heritage into something considerably more permanent.And there’s plenty happening around the program that will give the new crest an immediate spotlight.The Aggies enter 2026 with Lipscomb transfer Bella Carapazza among their notable additions after she produced seven goals and seven assists for 21 points last season.Bella Carapazza among their notable additions after she produced seven goals and seven assists forCarapazza has already landed at No. 87 on TopDrawerSoccer’s preseason Top 100 after previously earning a place on the MAC Hermann Trophy preseason watch list.She’ll now begin the next stage of her career wearing a crest designed to represent considerably more than the current roster.READ MORE: Aggies Defensive Star Lands on Butkus Watch List After Monster 129-Tackle YearThe players will change, as will the seasons.Texas A&M soccer’s new identity reaches all the way back to 1993 and even deeper into the traditions surrounding the university itself.
