Texas’ comeback fell short Friday in the Little League World Series. Boerne was down 2-1 early against Washington but tied the game and almost took the lead late but was thrown out at home twice in a 4-3 loss. Despite the defeat, Texas plays again Monday afternoon and can stay alive if they beat Ohio, from the Great Lakes region. Ohio opened its LLWS with a 6-5 loss to the Mountain Region winner, Nevada.
