​Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has given the offense a new nickname, GOTI for Greatest Offense There Is.The Dallas Cowboys offense has a new nickname, thanks to quarterback Dak Prescott. According to left tackle Tyler Guyton, Prescott has named the team’s high-powered offense GOTI, which stands for the Greatest Offense There Is. Hope this one sticks and lands better than the Hot Boyz defense.Speaking of Prescott, he is very sharp on the first day of Dallas Cowboys training camp. He completed passes, avoided sacks and threw darts to George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb and Ryan Flournoy.Pickens may not be engaging in any contract drama but he is already dramatically making plays in practice. He took a short pass from Prescott on Wednesday and raced to the end zone. He turned around and fell own his back as he crossed the goal line to the delight of the fans in the stands.The biggest wow play of the day came courtesy of running back Jaydon Blue, who took a handoff from Prescott and ran roughly 50 yards to the end zone untouched. He would have been a touchdowns in pads. That is how well the play was blocked and fast Blue jetted down the sideline.Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown looks to be all the way back, finally. He is fully healthy and cleared for practice. The Cowboys have him working at the MIKE green dot linebacker along side Dee Winter. Overshown had one of the hardest of the day when he teamed with safety Malik Hooker to level running back Phil Mafah. Overshown called the defense when he was on the field.Coach Brian Schottenheimer promised that there would be trash talk coming from defensive coordinator Christian Parker. And it was evident on Day 1 when Parker was caught taunting receiver KaVontae Turpin about getting his cardio in way down the field after a sack on the quarterback.The versality of rookie top pick Caleb Downs was on full display on the first day. He opened in the slot with the first team defense. He also played safety and lined up on the edge. Downs recovered a fumble after Mafah lost the ball during a run.The Cowboys got a quick injury scare when safety P.J. Locke limped off the field and left with training staff. Locke was later diagnosed with a hyperextended knee and is considered day-to-day. The injury is not believed to be of a serious concern. Locked was a offseason free agent addition who is expected to have a big role as a reserve safety and on special teams. He is familiar with Parker from their time together with the Denver Broncos.Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said he will have tougher practices in camp and will be tougher on his players. He had them run after practice on the first day to improve their conditioning.
